Mr. Megna graduated with High Honors in Business Administration Finance from the State University of New York College of Technology at Canton in 2011, then earned his Juris Doctor from Western Michigan Thomas Cooley School of Law in 2014. During law school, he consistently made the Dean’s List, earned a Certificate of Merit in Bankruptcy under Hon. Catherine Peek McEwen, and studied advanced family law with Hon. Nick Nazaretian. His dedication and academic excellence marked him early as a future leader in the law.

In 2011, Mr. Megna began at McGuire Law Offices as a clerk. Over the years, he rose through the ranks, eventually becoming a Partner in 2023, helping guide the firm to become McGuire Megna, Attorneys at Law. His years there provided invaluable experience in high-stakes litigation and complex family law and criminal defense cases.  With that foundation, Mr. Megna established Megna Law — a firm built around his vision of client-focused, results-driven advocacy. Today, Megna Law serves clients across Florida, with a reputation for strategic courtroom presence, personal attention, and decisive outcomes.  Mr. Megna has handled all types of criminal matters ranging from a simple misdemeanor to a capital murder case.

As a trial attorney, Mr. Megna represents clients in divorce, child custody, paternity, support modifications, domestic violence, criminal defense, and civil litigation. Licensed in both State and Federal Courts, he has also successfully handled Federal matters outside Florida. His expertise has been recognized in appearances on local Fox, CBS, and in the Tampa Bay Times for legal issues.

Mr. Megna has also been invited by Judge Catherine McEwen to guest lecture at Thomas Cooley School of Law, where he taught aspiring attorneys the intricacies of Chapter 7 bankruptcy — continuing his commitment to mentoring the next generation of legal professionals.

Beyond the courtroom, Mr. Megna is trusted counsel for major corporations: Devoted Creations, one of the world’s largest tanning lotion brands; and Kesin Pharma, an emerging pharmaceutical company. These roles place him at the intersection of law, business, and corporate governance — proof of his versatility as both trial lawyer and strategic advisor. Mr. Megna also still serves as Of Counsel for McGuire Law Offices.

His professional accolades include nomination to the Association of Trial Lawyers’ Top 100 in Florida for Family Law, as well as recognition as a Top 40 Under 40 attorney by both the American Academy of Attorneys and the American Institute of Trial Lawyers. He is an active member of the Florida Bar, American Bar Association, Clearwater Bar Association, and Pinellas Association for Criminal Defense Lawyers.
